Getting Started

Follow these steps to build your first budget projection and keep it updated.

Setup Checklist

  1. Set your start date and starting balance.
  2. Add recurring income and expense items.
  3. Review the calendar and fix any missed dates.
  4. Export JSON for a safe backup.

1. Configure Settings

Start by setting your first day and balance. Choose your currency, date format, and preferred theme.

2. Add Scheduled Items

Use the Items tab to add recurring entries like rent, salary, or subscriptions. Include a price history if amounts change over time.

3. Review the Projection

The calendar shows how your balance changes each day. Edit any occurrence to correct a single date or the full series.

4. Import Existing Data

You can import CSV or JSON files. CSV requires mapping columns, while JSON restores a full snapshot.

5. Keep Backups

Export JSON regularly to keep a restorable snapshot. Store it somewhere safe.
