What We Store
- Budget items, categories, and recurring occurrences.
- Manual balance overrides for specific dates.
- Appearance settings like theme, language, and currency.
- Error logs if you choose to export them.
What We Do Not Collect
- No account data, emails, or identifiers.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising identifiers.
- No server-side storage of your budget data.
Where It Lives
Data is saved in your browser localStorage. This means it stays on the device and profile you use. Clearing site data or using private browsing can remove it. If you use multiple browsers or devices, data will not sync automatically.
Demo Mode
Demo mode stores data under a separate localStorage prefix. It does not overwrite your real data, and you can reset demo data at any time.
Exports and Backups
You can export CSV or JSON at any time. JSON exports include settings, items, categories, overrides, and occurrences so you can restore the full dataset. Store exports securely, since they contain your financial data.
Third-Party Services
The app loads Google Fonts for typography and Material Symbols. No other third- party services are used by default.
Security Notes
- localStorage is not encrypted by default.
- Use a trusted device and user profile.
- Do not store sensitive information you cannot afford to lose.
- Lock your device and keep your browser updated.
Retention and Deletion
Data is retained until you delete it. Use the Reset Data action or clear site storage in your browser to remove all local data.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated. If changes are significant, you will be asked to acknowledge them alongside the Terms.
